Inaugural piano concert

The Gustave Moreau museum inaugurates an exceptional new instrument: a 1910 Pleyel piano, donated by the association Les Amis du Musée Gustave Moreau.

This remarkable gift - which echoes Gustave Moreau's own passion for music - opens a new page for the museum's cultural programming perpetuating the Friends of the Gustave Moreau Museum association's loyal and essential commitment to its outreach.

To celebrate this fine acquisition and on the occasion of his new album for Hungaroton, pianist Benedek Horváth will give a concert focusing on works composed in Moreau's time and the piano.
On the program: Ravel, Scriabine, Sibelius, Liszt - a musical journey with symbolist accents, on the keys of the restored piano.
