L'Etablissement public
The Public Institution of the Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum and the Gustave Moreau National Museum was established on March 1, 2017, by Decree No. 2017-133 of February 3, 2017. It comprises two museums: the Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum and the Gustave Moreau National Museum.
Both museums are unique in that they are housed in 19th-century artists’ homes and studios. Visitors are thus invited to discover the fascinating and intimate worlds of Jean-Jacques Henner and Gustave Moreau while enjoying the charm of these iconic locations.
The public institution’s mission is to present the national collections entrusted to it to the public. It ensures the promotion of these collections through all appropriate means (exhibitions, programming, and outreach) in order to make them accessible to the widest possible audience.
